Wine + Community

The River Club was created by two families who believe wine should be fun, approachable, and bring people together.

Belong Wine Co. was founded by Bertus and Alli van Zyl in 2017, bringing together their shared sense of adventure and a dream to make wine together. Their fresh, free-spirited wines capture the magic of the Sierra Foothills and are made with love and a light touch in Napa. Inspired by wild places and the simple joy of sharing a bottle with people you love, Belong is made for the adventure.

Paper Planes Wine Co. was founded by husband and wife Kyle and Laura Gabriel in 2014 over a dinner party in Los Angeles. After crowdfunding to launch, they left LA and moved to Napa to pursue their dream of making high-quality wine more welcoming. Over a decade later, Paper Planes produces low-intervention, organically and sustainably grown wines from the Russian River Valley and Suisun Valley.

A place to gather in Napa

Join us at The River Club, our tasting room in the Tannery District of Downtown Napa. Come for a tasting or settle in with wine by the glass or bottle. Friends, neighbors, dogs, kids — all are welcome, so make yourself at home.

You might be wondering…

  • Booking ahead is the best way to make sure we’re ready for you + your crew, but walk-ins are always welcome when space allows. Planning ahead? Reserve on Tock. Winging it? If the sign’s out, we’re in.

  • Of course! We kindly request all pets stay on a leash and that kids are accompanied by an adult at all times for everyone's enjoyment and safety.

  • Yes! We comp one tasting fee per three bottle purchase, and up to four tastings per club sign up.

  • Yes! We are happy to host you, please reach out directly to hello@theriverclubnapa.com to book.

  • We kindly request that you do not bring outside food. Your tasting is accompanied by complimentary chips and curry popcorn. If you have a large party, please reach out to book a private experience and we can help arrange additional food if needed.
